ABOUT KIM'S SINGING

Kimberly Martinez is an emerging mezzo-soprano based in the NJ/NY area. She holds a Master of Music degree from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music degree from Montclair State University.

Kim recently performed in Opera Magnifico's April 2024 production of Suor Angelica, where she sang the role of Lay Sister. Also with Opera Magnifico, she was the cover for Marcelina in their November 2023 production of Le Nozze di Figaro. Other recent opera roles include Clizia in L'arbore di Diana, Mother/Witch in Hansel and Gretel, and La Badessa & La Zia Principessa (cover) in Suor Angelica.

 

Kim's upcoming opera performance is with Opera Delaware in their May 2024 production of Turandot as an alto chorister. Other previous opera engagements this season include alto chorus with Boheme Opera for their productions of Amahl and the Night Visitors and Carmen. Kim has a deep love for choral music, and is currently on the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir's roster.
